How to  Build Workforce Strength

Learning and Career Professionals in organizations.

WHAT:

Build workforce strength for our organizations; requires a combination of being able to address system-level workforce issues and the career needs of individuals. 

WHY:

Learning Professionals contribute to building, measuring and tracking workforce strength in your organization. Learn how to strengthen human capital and add value to stategic goals.

HOW:

Discussing approaches to building the disciplines of workforce and career development 
and drawing on successful practices in organizations. 

 

 

You will leave this session with a clear understanding of the importance of workforce strength and how you can play an important role in facilitating, leading, and training.

Ron Elsdon, founder and president of Elsdon, Inc., specializes in the workforce and career development fields, providing organizational consulting, individual career counseling and coaching, and public speaking.  Ron has more than 25 years of leadership experience at diverse organizations in a broad range of sectors and has been an adjunct faculty member at, or affiliated with, several universities.  The author of numerous publications, Ron has spoken regularly at national and regional events in the career and workforce development fields.  Ron is the author of Affiliation in the Workplace (Praeger, 2003) and editor of Building Workforce Strength (Praeger, 2010).  He was awarded the Walker Prize by the Human Resource Planning Society.  He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and a Master’s Degree in Career Development from John F. Kennedy University.

  • Take Crow Canyon Blvd East.
  • Go left on El Capitan (Tahiti to the right).
  • First right into Crow Canyon.
  • Tell the guard you are attending a program for ASTD at the Club.
